In response to senstivity with the recent Japan earthquake that ravaged the Pacific Island nation, Sony has decided to delay the release of their MotorStorm: Apocalypse.

No current release date has been released, although Joystiq reports that the UK will still be getting the game on March 31.

The game was originally set to be released in North America for April 12.

It's understandable that Sony would want to delay the release of the game. Apocalypse has racers tearing through dynamically destructive environments as earthquakes and other natural disasters occur all throughout the track.

Don't worry Motorstorm fans, this is just a temporary thing, and I'm sure you'll be racing through racing armageddon sooner rather than later.
