At Atlus' booth, I was given the opportunity to play their new action-adventure combat game, Cursed Crusade. In this title, you play Denz and Esteban, two crusaders in the middle ages, two crusaders cursed to die, unless they can find a way to stop it.

The majority of the game is a swords and shields affair, stringing together attacks to take down enemies, using different tactics, like using different weapons, dual-wielding some, parrying to lower your enemy's defence, or pull out a crossbow for ranged attacks.

We were shown Denz and Esteban fighting their way through a town under siege, cutting through enemies as they went. You can play the game with one player, as Denz, while Esteban is controlled by the game. The game can also be played in co-op mode, allowing another player to fight through the campaign.
Having a curse isn't all bad, either. You can activate it to get special powers, transforming the landscape to a hellish visage as you do so, opening up opportunities such as kicking enemies into newly-created fires. Power is also increased, so you can take down enemies quicker.

Cursed Crusade, billed as a historical fantasy, will have you cutting down evil foes as cursed men in fall of this year, for the Playstation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.
