A new Transformers game has been revealed, but may have some scratching their heads about it.

Yesterday during Hasbro's preview event at New York Toy Fair, Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark was revealed to the world. According to an Activision representative via Examiner.com, the game will combine both the Cybertron game universe created by High Moon Studios and the Michael Bay movie universe. Players will once again play as both the Autobots and Decepticons and choose whether they want to save the Earth or conquer it.

High Moon Studios will not be developing the title as Edge of Reality will take over responsibilities.

The 3DS version of Rise of the Dark Spark will not be a port of the title, but instead will be a strategy RPG. It will be developed by WayForward.

Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark is scheduled to release this year for P34, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Wii U, PC and Nintendo 3DS.
