Resident Evil 6, the latest in the series was originally scheduled for a November 20 release date.  In a change from normal date movement news, Capcom has announced that the release date will be moving UP to October 2 instead.

According to Capcom, the news comes due to positive fan reactions to the game trailer. That, and the fact that it has about 600 people working on the game.  For a series as popular as the Resident Evil series, it's understandable that they'd want to start selling as soon as possible.  And considering that there won't be any other big games coming out for a while after, it means that they'll have the full attention of a lot of gamers for a while.
