UPDATE: Chris Priestly of Bioware has posted a comment on BioWare's forum:

"We are aware that some players are having issues importing the faces of characters from Mass Effect 1 or Mass Effect 2 into Mass Effect 3. The issue is likely in how faces were detected when imported from Mass Effect 1 into Mass Effect 2, and we're working on the best way to correct it for affected players."

ORIGINAL: There seems to be some problems right out of box for BioWare's highly anticipated title, Mass Effect 3.

Players, myself included, are getting messages saying that the game can't recognize the custom appearance of our Commander Shepard.

According to Gameinformer, an EA representative has informed them that the problem stems from importing a face all the way from Mass Effect 1 and they are looking into the situation.

No word yet on if a patch is coming, but stay tuned for more updates.
