Duke Nukem Forever.  The game that taken over a decade to get here.  That many thought would never see the light of day....has been delayed.

Now don't get too worried, gamers.  We aren't talking about more years of waiting.  Gearbox is simply asking us to wait an extra month for this game.

Originally scheduled to hit stores May 3 in North America (May 6 internationally), Gearbox and 2K Games have pushed the release date to June 14 (June 10 internationally).  In an announcement released on their official YouTube Channel, Gearbox Software President and Duke Nukem Forever Executive Producer, Randy Pitchford, was not pleased to hear the news.  As you can probably guess, the video was all in good fun and a jab at the game's epic development time.

In an official press release, 2K Games assures us we won't have to wait over another decade for it.

"We thank Duke fans for their continued patience," said Christoph Hartmann, president of 2K Games.  "I promise this won't take another 15 years."

As they say: "Duke never comes early".  But 2K Games is assuring us he is in fact coming this time.
