Today during the Nintendo Direct broadcast, Satoru Iwata; president and CEO of Nintendo announced a partnership with Sega and revealed the next title in the Sonic the Hedgehog series called Sonic: Lost World

The game will be an action-adventure platformer exclusively for Nintendo Wii U and the Nintendo 3DS.

Iwata states that more info on the title will be revealed "prior to E3."
