SEGA recently unveiled the latest installment in the Virtua Fighter series.

Titled Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown, the new game will come with new features such as rebalanced mechanics, timing, animation and a dynamic arena system.  The game will also come with online play and leaderboards to track the best fighters around the world.

Final Showdown will also add two new fighters to the roster.  Sumo wrestler Taka-Arashi, who hasn't been seen since Virtua Fighter 3, will make his return and all new fighter, karate expert Jean Kujo will make his debut.

SEGA also stated that they are grabbing ever Final Showdown arcade cabinet they can find in the US and will make the game available for play at this year's PAX.

The game is scheduled for a Summer 2012 release on both PSN and XBLA.
