Today as part of Nintendo Direct, the company announced the next titles in the Pokemon series.

Pokemon X and Pokemon Y will be the first titles in the Pokemon main series on the 3DS and Nintendo will set them in a three dimensional world.

In the trailer, Nintendo also revealed the starter Pokemon for the titles.  There's Chespin, the Grass-Type, Fennekin, the Fire-Type and Froakie, the Water-Type.

Pokemon X and Pokemon Y will be released worldwide in October 2013. The Pokemon series is usually released first in Japan and then comes to other countries later after they are localized.
