2K Games is proud to announce that Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution, the latest entry in the Sid Meier’s Civilization franchise, will be in stores beginning June 3, 2008. Developed internally at 2K’s Firaxis development studio, Sid Meier’s Civilization Revolution will be available for Xbox 360, PLAYSTATION 3 and Nintendo DS.

Built from the ground up solely for console and handheld gamers, Sid Meier’s Civilization Revolution features fast-paced, pick-up-and-play action involving strategic global domination and history's most intrepid leaders, as well as a highly competitive multi-player experience. I'm curious to see how this will play on the consoles (and especially the DS). I'm particularily interested in the control scheme, strategy games tend not to move that well to the controller format from my past experience.

I agree with the whole contoller format for strategy games. the stylus with the DS might help a bit but the graphics and gameplay will be limited due to the DS's capabilities....
