Microsoft Game Studios today announced that its highly-anticipated, ultra-realistic driving simulator, Forza Motorsport, has gone gold. Racing fans can mark May 3, 2005 on their calendar as the day Forza Motorsport peels out and pulls up to stores.

Made exclusively for Xbox, Forza Motorsport will allow gamers to own, collect and transform their own personalized fleet of speed machines from an unprecedented lineup of more than 230 cars made by over 60 top manufacturers.

Forza Motorsport also debuts an innovative online racing experience that is certain to take the chequered flag on Xbox Live. Featuring online car clubs with up to 100 different gamertags, the ability to trade creations with car connoisseurs from all over the world over Xbox Live, downloadable ghosts, race replays and car setups and more than 1,400 different online leaderboards for competition of every category, Forza Motorsport buries the needle for gamers looking to take their game into cyberspace.
