Electronic Arts announced today that the PSP system of EA Sports Madden NFL 06, the brand’s best-selling football franchise with the exclusive videogame license of the NFL and Players Inc, has shipped and will be available at retail starting today.

Gamers can now experience all they have come to expect from the most groundbreaking franchise in sports videogame history in a whole new way with Madden NFL 06 on the PSP system. Featuring a robust franchise mode, gamers will be challenged to build a team and call the shots, even import and play an entire week of their games’ franchise from the PlayStation 2 computer entertainment system on to their PSP system. Challenge friends from across the room or across the country to match up online, via a wireless network. Also included are 18 mini games, 10 exclusive to the PSP system, offering more ways than ever to play the most complete and authentic handheld NFL experience.
