Sony Computer Entertainment America Inc. (SCEA) unveiled its 2007 holiday line-up, including a rich first-party and third-party software offering for the PLAYSTATION 3, PSP and PlayStation 2 and a variety of hardware bundles for all PlayStation platforms. PlayStation systems’ robust first and third-party software line-up demonstrates a continued commitment from both SCEA and third-party developers to the PlayStation family of products and aims to appeal to enthusiast and casual gamers alike.

“This holiday season we are offering our largest line up of quality software and hardware products to meet every taste, lifestyle and budget,” said Scott A. Steinberg, vice president, product marketing, SCEA. “Triple-A masterpieces such as Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune and Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction and bundles such as the Daxter PSP Entertainment Pack and the SingStar PlayStation 2 Pack, will demonstrate SCEA’s commitment to providing consumers with the most diverse software and hardware on the market today.”

SCEA’s strong holiday first-party line-up includes PS3 heavy hitters, Heavenly Sword from Ninja Theory Ltd; the action-adventure Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune from Jak & Daxter developer Naughty Dog; Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction from the highly acclaimed Insomniac Games; the trading card based THE EYE OF JUDGMENT, produced in conjunction with Hasbro and its Wizards of the Coast subsidiary and NBA 08 featuring the most realistic basketball gameplay available in Full HD at 1080p and 60 fps (frames per second).

On the PSP front, bundles like the Daxter PSP Entertainment Pack and the limited edition Star Wars Battlefront PSP Entertainment Pack will show off the multi-functionality of the newly-designed PSP system. SCEA also brings a strong portable first-party software line-up to consumers including new IP’s like Jeanne d’Arc and established franchises, Syphon Filter: Logan's Shadow, and SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Tactical Strike.

For those planning holiday parties, PlayStation 2 is getting a social makeover with limited edition ceramic white hardware, SingStar Pop and festive price point of $149.99 (SRP) when the SingStar PlayStation 2 Pack launches this November.
