In an exclusive interview with the EE TImes, Ken Kutaragi has revealed that he plans to continue work on the PlayStation brand. Even though Ken is set to step down and retire, he will still work as an independent with Sony. The father of playstation has already handed plans to Sony for cost reduction and design changes for the next 2 years of PlayStation 3. Kutaragi plans to expand the PlayStation Network with newer models and with the power of CELL.

"As a matter of course, I have the vision of PlayStation 4, 5 and 6, which will merge into the network."

"The design concept of the Cell processor is the network processor," he stressed. When the PS3 was introduced last year, Kutaragi said the network environment was not ready for a net-based game console.

"Now it has become possible, so why not enter?" he said.
