Leading video games publisher and developer NAMCO BANDAI Games America Inc. announced today that One Piece(TM): Grand Adventure is now available in retail stores for the PlayStation 2 computer entertainment system and Nintendo GameCube. With a fierce spirit for adventure, the Strawhat crew continues its quest for the Grand Line and acquires new members to assist them on a new fighting game based on the popular One Piece comic and anime series featured in Shonen Jump and Cartoon Network. One Piece: Grand Adventure gives worthy pirates a chance to experience an abundance of new characters, mini-games, the intense Free-moving vs. Battle action system and several unexplored regions to visit on an exciting new voyage.

"Elements present in this excellent fighting game are sure to please both fans of the genre and fans of the anime series," said Naruo Uchida, NAMCO BANDAI Games America Inc.'s Vice President of Product Development. "We are also very pleased to say that GameCube owners will also be able to experience the fast-paced action and exciting mini-games that One Piece: Grand Adventure has to offer."

On the dangerous waters around the Grand Line, an area that is filled to the brim with colossal sea monsters and unusual weather patterns, One Piece: Grand Adventure pits one particular band of extraordinary pirates against wacky opponents in a fighting game fit for the high seas. With a cast of 24 main characters and 50 supporting characters, Monkey D. Luffy and the Strawhat members must unlock and assemble the proper crew to assist them in their battles.

One Piece: Grand Adventure implements the Accel-Heat System that enables powerful attacks taken straight from the animated TV series. Overcome a diversity of mini-games in the Adventure mode that spans 20 uncharted ocean area maps and create the ultimate character to battle your friends in Grand battle mode!

Developed by GANBARION, One Piece: Grand Adventure is rated "T" for Teen by the ESRB and is available for $39.99 US.
