"We've had great support within the strategy and wargame communities. Hopefully by releasing a full-functioning free demo of Supreme Ruler 2010, we'll attract people that usually don't pay attention to strategy games. Once they try this demo, they will see what they've been missing," says David Thompson, Lead Designer and Partner at BattleGoat Studios.
“Strategy games have always had to prove themselves in this industry, mostly because strategy gamers are such a dedicated and hardcore group of people. As a result, the titles they choose to play have to be worth the effort they put into playing them. This demo will prove to the world that the bar has just been raised for developers to create anything close to Supreme Ruler,” says Jay Podilchuk, the Producer at Strategy First.
“We promised not to release Supreme Ruler 2010 until we felt the game was ready. I can honestly say the demo proves our point,” continues Thompson.
The demo for Supreme Ruler 2010 contains a full tech tree minus weapons of mass destruction, 2 missions, 3 scenarios and a fully functioning multiplayer that will enable gamers to play the demo through GameSpy Arcade.
The demo is available for download from www.strategyfirst.com and FilePlanet.
