Strategy First announced today that it is releasing two new stand- alone expansion packs for its award-winning strategy game, Disciples II - Dark Prophecy.

The first expansion, Disciples II - Guardians of the Light lets gamers play as the two “good” races in the franchise: the Empire and the Mountain Clans, and the second expansion, Disciples II - Servants of the Dark, features the game’s two “evil” races: the Undead Hordes and the Legions. Both stand-alone expansions, Guardians of the Light and Servants of the Dark, can also be combined so gamers can play all four races.

“This expansion series is going to have Disciples fans jumping right back into the game,” says Don McFatridge, President of Strategy First Inc. “We have great new content, even more amazing graphics and all the strategy elements that made the Disciples franchise so wildly popular, and fans are going to love it.”

Fans of the franchise will appreciate all the new content and added features and gamers who have yet to experience the Disciples world will have the chance to enjoy all the excitement of Disciples II - Dark Prophecy and more.

The two expansion packs will each include 2 new high-level mini campaigns, a random map generator, 16 skirmish/multiplayer maps including 10 never-before-seen maps, and all the updates for Disciples II - Dark Prophecy. Art enhancements will include 3 new special characters, new capital backgrounds, new battle backgrounds, new music tracks and more.

Disciples II - Dark Prophecy won several awards for its outstanding strategy gameplay including IGN’s Editor’s Choice Award, Action Trip’s Editor’s Choice Award, Wargamer’s Award for Excellence and Gone Gold’s Platinum Award.

Disciples II - Guardians of the Light will ship in May 2003 and Disciples II - Servants of the Dark will follow in June 2003.
