3DO Ships "Heroes of Might and Magic IV: Winds of War" Expansion
Expansion pack for fantasy turn-based strategy title now available.

The 3DO Company today announced that "Heroes of Might and Magic IV: Winds of War" for the PC has shipped to stores. In the second expansion to the best-selling fantasy turn-based strategy game, players battle fantastic creatures and face fierce armies across 45 action-packed maps.

"'Winds of War' is the most interactive 'Heroes' yet, featuring additional campaign editor capabilities, and six creature generators, as well as twenty maps created by fans," said Jon Van Caneghem, president of New World Computing. "Newcomers and fans of the 'Heroes' series will enjoy hours of richly satisfying gameplay, the enchanting graphics, and the interwoven tapestry of storylines associated with 'Heroes of Might and Magic.'"
