Publisher Strategy First and Developer Introversion Software are happy to announce their North American publishing deal for Uplink: Hacker Elite, which will have gamers exploring PCs in a whole new way in Q1 2003.

“Uplink will show gamers a whole new side of the computer world,” says Steve Milburn, Director of Marketing for Strategy First. “We are very excited to be bringing this unique title to the PC market with Introversion Software.”

“We are very excited about this opportunity to present Uplink to American gamers,” says Thomas Arundel, Publishing Director for Introversion Software. “We are new team and are very pleased to be working with such a prestigious publisher.”

Uplink brings players into the depths of one of the world’s most intriguing settings: cyberspace. Gamers take on the role of an Uplink agent, working for large corporations and hacking into rival computer systems, stealing research data, sabotaging other companies, laundering money, erasing evidence, and framing innocent people. Stock markets can be influenced, personal records can be altered, and money can be transferred... sometimes into the wrong hands.
