ARUSH Entertainment announced today that their their upcoming Unreal engine-based first person shooter Devastation now has a major contest available online at www.devastationgame.com. It's not your standard "type name, hit enter" kind of experience, either. At www.grathius.com, the Web site for the fictional corporate oppressor in the game, you will be taken through an interactive experience that will introduce some of the game's main characters and concepts. You'll hack into the corporate site with the help of Resistance member Baxter, delete profiles of main characters and help Baxter gain access to some of Grathius' top-secret technology. You can also find out about the game's backstory, and the world where the game takes place.

To top it all off, once you finish helping Baxter you can submit an entry form for a chance to win an Alienware Area 51 desktop with a P4 2.8 gig processor, a half gig RAM, 120 gig HD, ATI Radeon 9700 128 MB video card, NEC 19" Multisync monitor and a Klipsch ProMedia 5.1 THX speaker system.

Devastation is a next-generation Unreal Engine-powered, team-based FPS set in a near future technology dark age, where corporations rule and deadly Pacification Squad Troopers enforce their will. Developed by Digitalo, and co-published by ARUSH Entertainment and Groove Games, Devastation features Hollywood-style special effects, an engrossing single player story, frenetic multiplayer modes and Karma physics for incredible real world interactions and rag doll deaths. Devastation is scheduled for release in Q1 2003.
