Strategy First announced today that they have struck an exclusive co-publishing agreement for the North American market with Dutch publisher Project Three Interactive for the first person shooter game New World Order for the PC.

“We know that New World Order will amaze the gaming community with its realistic gameplay and we’re sure it will do great things for both of our companies,” says Steve Wall, V.P.of Acquisitions for Strategy First.

New World Order is a single- and multiplayer tactical team-based shooter developed in Sweden by Project Three’s studio Termite Games. This title stands out in the crowded FPS genre because it is one of the first built on next generation technology and promises to take the first person shooter genre to the next level by combining uncanny graphic detail with adrenaline pumping action and fun. Realistic gameplay and unparalleled game physics are brought to life by the in-house developed DVA-engine from Termite Games. The game also introduces new features like per pixel damage detection, tons of real life weapons which are available by rank, and a weight system that influences the player’s actions, thus adding even more realistic gameplay. The game will have 12 huge levels in both single- and multiplayer mode, all very different by design and lay-out, set out all over the globe.

“We are extremely pleased to have signed a deal for North America with a dedicated company like Strategy First. We think their background as a publisher makes them an excellent fit for this product, which really involves a lot of strategy and tactics by the player in order to become successful. We are looking forward to jointly turning New World Order into a real hit on the North American continent,” says Robert Ercevic, CEO of Project Three Interactive.

The story sees the player as John Dobbs, a decorated Navy Seal but a rookie member of the Global Assault Team (GAT), a commando squad formed by the world’s powers in answer to the rise of freelance terrorist factions better known as The Syndicate. The GAT has the mandate to operate on a global level, prevent terrorist actions and dispose of The Syndicate any way they see fit. As John Dobbs the player will go in alone to try and prevent terrorist actions in 12 fierce missions that challenge even experienced FPS players. In multiplayer mode, gamers can choose to play as either The Syndicate or the GAT on a LAN or via the Internet, with up to 64 players on a server. Players can choose to take each other on as two teams or operate as one team and play against computer generated opponents.

Look for New World Order to ship in Q1 2003 in North-America.
