Age of Booty for Windows PC has launched. Developed by Certain Affinity, known for their previous work on the Halo series, Age of Booty has stood out as a unique strategy experience for the online market since its original launch on the Xbox 360 back in October. Players can purchase Age of Booty from sites such as Steam, Direct to Drive, and Digital River among others, and a demo of the PC version is also available for players to try the game for free.

In other news, PS3 owners now have the highly anticipated addition of trophy support for Age of Booty. Users may win coveted awards for their efforts as they play throughout the game. The points allotted to the various trophy tiers contribute to the users’ overall level seen in their gamer profile. For anyone who hasn’t tried out the game on the PS3, a new trial version is now available. Users can experience the high seas hijinks for free by downloading a demo version of the game from the PlayStation Store. Additional map pack DLC will also become available periodically to PSN users through this month and next.

Also coming this month, Xbox 360 owners can expect to take their Age of Booty experience to the next level with the addition of NXE Avatar support. Users will see their customized Avatars in player detail screens, in-game messages and sailing ships or rafts depending on whether they win or lose.

Set in the swashbuckling era, Age of Booty is a casual real-time multiplayer strategy game that puts players at the helm of their own pirate ship with the goal of sending your enemies to the briny deep, and looting and capturing towns for your pirate faction. In Age of Booty, players team up with friends online or AI-controlled pirate ships to raid, pillage, sink, and destroy their way to dominance on the high seas. Spoils of war and booty are used to upgrade and customize pirate ships to make them even more deadly as players take on 21 unique challenges and seven of the most devious Pirate Alliances on the high seas. Gain notoriety and fame by climbing the online leader boards. Create and share custom maps using the intuitive map creation system. Players can expect free content updates for Age of Booty though-out the lifespan of the game, with over 20 additional maps already available to download for free. More free contented is coming later this month and in April.
