Ubi Soft Entertainment has named Prima Games its official strategy guide partner for the next three PC and video games to be released in the critically acclaimed Tom Clancy series. Under the deal, Prima Games will write, publish and distribute strategy guides in North America for The Sum of All Fears, Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell and Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Raven Shield on multiple platforms.

The Tom Clancy series, known for its action-packed game play and heart-stopping realism, has sold more than 6.7 million copies worldwide. The three new titles will be released on the PC, PlayStation 2, Xbox and GameCube.

"Our Tom Clancy properties are among the most coveted in the interactive entertainment industry," said Laurent Detoc, president of Ubi Soft. "We were very selective in choosing a strategy guide partner for the upcoming Tom Clancy titles. Prima Games was a clear choice due to its strong track record of bringing premium quality guides to market in a timely manner."

"We are thrilled to have won the bid to publish the official strategy guides for the next wave of Ubi Soft titles," said Debra Kempker, president of Prima Games. "There is great anticipation for new releases within this successful brand, which translates into a high demand for strategy guides."

The deal with Ubi Soft follows agreements announced with other leading software publishers, including Electronic Arts, Infogrames, Inc., Microsoft Corporation, Sega of America, Eidos and id Software. Prima Games is the world's leading strategy guide publisher with a 45 percent market share, a ranking the company has held since 1999. Strategy guides are soft cover books that provide helpful hints and tips to consumers on how to play a specific computer or video game.
