Computer and video game publisher Gathering of Developers, a subsidiary of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc., along with Triumph Studios has announced the highly anticipated game for the PC, "Age of Wonders II: The Wizards Throne," has gone gold. Delivering an invigorating mix of empire building, role-playing, and warfare, "Age of Wonders II: The Wizards Throne" offers the ultimate in fantasy turn-based strategy. This game is set to ship June 2002.

"Age of Wonders II: The Wizards Throne" blends role-playing, magical combat, and empire building, while placing the player in control of an ancient fantasy kingdom. To restore balance in a world on the brink of collapse and earn a place amongst the Circle of Evermore (a group of immortal wizards,) gamers take charge of power-wielding wizards, clashing battalions, and laboring guilds. By wisely choosing alliances, building forces, researching the magical arts and resources, players can dominate the land and ultimately restore order in their quest for the Wizard's Throne.
