Codemasters' announced today that their upcoming stealth shooter has been delayed to improve and perfect the multiplayer portion of the title.

Since multiplayer is such an integral part of PC gaming these days, Codemasters has decided to delay the release of IGI 2: Covert Strike in order to hone that component of the game.

Codemasters along with Innerloop, the game's developer, recognize the importance of shipping a complete product to retail and are committed to presenting gamers with the highest quality gaming experience possible.

IGI 2: Covert Strike will now be shipping in September 2002 instead of the originally planned June.
