Flashman Studios, a videogame business management company, announced today it will be attending the upcoming Game Connection event in Lyon, France during December 4-6, 2007. Flashman Founder and CEO Brad Young and Director of Business Development Tony Pereira will be on hand to discuss several of the titles they are working with over the next several months that are in need of a devoted publisher. Among the games and intellectual properties Flashman will be presenting at Lyon are:
- Sherman and Peabody – The dog-and-boy duo from “The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show” are getting back into the WABAC Machine for their own game, set to release on all platforms (next-gen consoles and handhelds, digital downloads and mobiles) and coinciding with a Dreamworks movie due in 2010. Publishers are sought for all platforms.
- Dick Tracy – Netherlands developer Codeglue is bringing everyone’s favorite fast-talking, hard-hitting noir detective from the 1930s to the Nintendo DS, the Nintendo Wii and digital download arenas. Publishers are sought for all platforms.
- Mr. Magoo – Flashman represents the rights to the bumbling, stubborn, near-sighted retiree who has an uncanny knack to get himself into dangerous situations. A new take on Mr. Magoo, Kung Fu Magoo, is planned for a straight to DVD release and a TV movie. The “Kung Fu Magoo” game will be for the Nintendo DS, Nintendo Wii and digital downloads. Publishers are sought for all platforms.
- Lone Ranger – Along with his sidekick Tonto and his white steed Silver, the Lone Ranger is set to gallop his way from Classic Media on to all platforms; publishers are sought for each.
- Critter Crunch – Based on the original intellectual property developed by Flashman client Capybara Games, the critically acclaimed and award-winning Critter Crunch for mobile platforms is munching on to the Nintendo Wii, Nintendo DS and digital download arenas. Publishers are sought for all platforms.
- HeroClix – WizKids, another Flashman client, is the creator of HeroClix, a collectible miniatures figurine game where players take turns battling it out on a turn-based grid. Interactive rights are available on all platforms.
- War World – The highly regarded PC shooter War World is an original intellectual property developed by Third Wave Games, a Flashman client from Australia. War World will soon be coming to Xbox LIVE Arcade; a publisher is sought for the Playstation 3 platform.
- Darkest of Days – The first full-length video game from Flashman client Phantom EFX is a first person PC and console shooter that allows players to travel back in time to humanity’s darkest hours and change history for the better. World War I and the American Civil War are just a sampling of the playable time periods.
