They're cute, they're cuddly, they have attitudes and they're on their way to retail stores today. Strategy First and Innonics are pleased to announce that Diggles: The Myth of Fenris has shipped to retail stores across North America.

"This game is being compared to such titles as The Sims and Creatures, which makes us confident that players will embrace this title," says Steve Milburn, Director of Marketing at Strategy First.

The Diggles are an intelligent dwarf dynasty that passes on its characteristics, good and bad from one generation to another. They cook mushrooms, raise hamsters, produce tools and invent machines. They enjoy their leisure time as well by going bowling, playing cards or visiting the Pub!

The adventure of the diggles begins when godfather Odin sends them out on a dangerous mission to the center of the earth to disarm and chain the hound of hell, fenris. Fenris was once Odin's watchdog, but since he ran away, he has become aware of his power and strength and has been using these attributes to bring terror to the underground world. The chain needed to dismantle Fenris's power is one only the Diggles can forge. It's a dangerous mission, one that only the Diggles can accomplish.

Experience countless adventures, dive into the complex and thrilling non-linear story and get to know the individual characters that range from stubborn and nasty to hard-working and cuddly.

Infogrames will distribute Diggles: The Myth of Fenris exclusively throughout North America. Suggested retail price is $39.99 US.
