Microsoft today announced that Scott Allen Silva, of Kingsburg, CA, has won a Cessna 172S Skyhawk Millenium Edition plane in the Microsoft and King Schools "Win a Cessna" Sweepstakes. Silva entered the contest through registering his copy of FS 2000 through Microsoft's website.

"Working with King Schools on this exciting sweepstakes emphasized how the dream of flight can come true for customers of both companies," said Microsoft product manager Darryl Saunders. "Scott actually purchased a King Schools private pilot course ten years ago and received his private license. Now, with this new airplane and his copy of MSFT Flight Simulator, Scott will undoubtedly get to experience flight that's 'as real as it gets.'"

In a ceremony today at Visalia Municipal Airport in Visalia, California, Silva took possession of the plane and was presented with a free flying lesson from John and Martha King, owners of King Schools, the world's leading producer of aviation training videos and computer software.

Flight Simulator 2002 is the revolutionary new version of Microsoft's highly realistic aviation simulation - the best-selling PC flight simulation ever produced. Flight Simulator 2002 introduces many exciting features, including interactive Air Traffic Control (ATC), auto-generated scenery, challenging new aircraft -- even a floatplane -- and stunning visual enhancements that truly make Flight Simulator 2002 "as real as it gets.
