Analog Devices, Inc. today announced that its advanced audio rendering technology, SoundMAX SPX, has been incorporated into Infogrames, Inc.'s new PC game Moto Racer 3. Featuring game audio technologies that generate "animated audio" -- interactive, event-driven sounds that respond to game physics, environmental variables and user input -- SoundMAX SPX brings hyper-realistic sound to the action-packed motorcycle racing title. Developed by Delphine Software International, Moto Racer 3 shipped to stores today with an MSRP of $39.95.

"SoundMAX SPX gave us the ability to create extremely true-to-life bike sounds," said Bertrand Gibert, director of development, Delphine Software International. "We were able to integrate real recordings of real bikes to make Moto Racer 3 as exciting aurally as it is visually."

"With a large number of different motorcycles that all require a variety of sounds for speed and steering alterations, Moto Racer 3 is a perfect title for SoundMAX SPX implementation," said Beth Doherty, Director of Developer Relations, Analog Devices, Inc. "Delphine and Infogrames did a great job with our technology, creating some of the most intense audio effects I've ever heard in a racing game."

Moto Racer 3 is poised to become the benchmark for all future bike-racing games. The game, featuring a wide choice of gameplay options including speed, motocross, supercross, freestyle, trial and traffic, allows players to race on 15 of the world's most prestigious courses. Each track is recreated with photo-like realism and the game features stunningly accurate physics. In addition, gamers have access to 40 new bikes and eight different teams.
