Paradox Interactive announced today that the stand-alone expansion to Perimeter, developed by KDV Games, has been shipped to retailers. In the game, the player is drawn into a battle between the Emperor and the Spirits in an action-packed science-fiction RTS environment. Emperor's Testament features 25 new missions and an all new storyline in the single player campaign, as well as a multiplayer mode for gamers to play against each other online.

The story in Perimeter is set far in the future, when the location of the planet Earth has long been forgotten. Decades of war between the Empire and the Harkbacks have ravaged the cosmos, and now there are new voices are emerging that threaten them both. These include the sudden appearance of a "Mechanical Messiah", the discovery of parallel worlds, and the appearance of a mysterious new alien race.

Priced at $19.99 US, Perimeter: Emperor's Testament is set to be released simulataneously in traditional retail outlets, as well as on Paradox's online distribution site, Gamer's Gate.

A demo of the game was recently released on the Paradox site.
