Playnet.com, Cornered Rat Software and Strategy First announced today details of a re-evaluation program targeting former account holders, providing an opportunity to experience the many improvements made since launch.

The program, which provides free play time between January 11th and 25th for closed account holders, comes after the must anticipated release of version 1.5.

"The successful release of version 1.5 follows significant improvements made to the game since June," says Al Corey, Playnet's Marketing Manager. "We've received tremendous encouragement from our growing community of players who brought us the award as well as lending their support to the re-evaluation program. They are telling us that now is the time to bring back those players who gave up on the game and see for themselves how far it's come."

Starting at 1700 CT, Friday January 11th, closed account holders can simply log into the game and auto-update their software to the latest version and start playing. Once the free time ends on January 25th, account holders will be encouraged to re-activate their subscription to keep playing.

World War II Online has been getting positive press attention following recent updates including PC Gamer who said, "...WWIIOL is now the kind of game it should have been back in June..." and "Cornered Rat has worked its ass off to improve the game while enduring a tsunami of scorn and vitriol, and that speaks volumes for its dedication."
