Nintendo will be launching a new version of the Wii in less than two weeks, if Best Buy Canada's homepage is any indication.

Dubbed the Wii Mini (Minii?), the newest version of the console will apparently be released December 7th, though no pricing information is available at this time. The listing follows on the heels of a rumour that first surfaced last week. The Mini bundle will, according to reports, include a sensor bar, a Nunchuk and Wii Remote Plus.

It's easy to be skeptical of the news, considering that 1) Nintendo just launched the Wii U in North America last week, and it's releasing the new console in Europe this Friday, and 2) they dropped the Wii's price just over a month ago. Nonetheless, apparently the company believes they can still milk the old cash cow a little more there's still interest in the venerable console -- which may not be too far from the truth, considering the Wii sold just 100,000 fewer units than the Wii U last week. They may not have any new games coming to it, mind you, but apparently the Wii isn't quite done yet.
UPDATE: Now confirmed by Nintendo! The Wii Mini will be available only in Canada for a limited time, and it'll retail for $99.99. It'll also have no internet capability or GameCube backwards compatibility.
