Konami has released new screenshots and confirmed game features and in-game licensing details for the upcoming soccer title, Pro Evolution Soccer 2009. Following the recent announcement of Konami's multi-year agreement to feature UEFA's Champions League competition in Pro Evolution Soccer 2009, the publisher has also revealed a strong selection of other licensed teams for use in the game. The Dutch Eredivisie and French League 1 will both be represented in their entirety, with full jerseys, player rosters and affiliated elements. Additionally, key clubs such as FC Barcelona, Real Madrid, Inter Milan, FC Porto, Liverpool and Manchester United, will also be represented in their official liveries as well. Other additions include teams such as Zenit St. Petersbourg and Brondby IF, with more teams to be revealed soon. Konami has also added a number of new national sides to Pro Evolution Soccer 2009, including Northern Ireland, Netherlands, England and Italy.

In addition to the newly revealed licensed teams and leagues, Konami has also confirmed that several new stadiums will be included Pro Evolution Soccer 2009. Recreated versions of the Stade de France, Stadio Olimpico di Torino and the new Wembley Stadium will be included for the first time in franchise history. These new agreements confirm Konami's commitment to constantly adding new licenses to the PES series.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2009 will be released for PLAYSTATION 3, PlayStation 2, Xbox 360, PC, and PSP on November 11th, 2008, and for the Wii in 2009.
