If you enjoyed Dead Island but felt the act of playing the game was a little too stationary, Techland seems to have heard your complaint: the developer has filed a trademark for a mobile game.

Tentatively titled Dead Stop, at this point details are thin. Siliconera noticed that Techland is requesting a trademark for "providing an online game via an application for mobile phones and other electronic apparatus" and...well, that's it. Feel free to speculate whether that means they're planning something for smartphones, a must-have game for the Vita, or a freemium Facebook game that you can track with an app.

And, of course, if you thought Dead Island was just fun, and you'd rather just keep playing on your PC or console, then you can just keep looking forward to Dead Island Riptide.
