Begining tomorrow, PlayStation Plus subscribers will be able to save game data in a cloud format, meaning without the need for an actual physical storage device.  In an update over the PlayStation Network, each subscriber will be able to store up to 150MB of data over 1,000 data files.

This new capability will allow players to have a backup of their data in case fire, flood or angry sibling destroys their system; it will also allow players to easily access data on other PlayStations connected to the network.  Want to show your friends how far you've gotten in Dragon Age II already? Just log into your account and you'll be able to access any saved game data you've put on the cloud.

Most existing titles will be able to save to the cloud and all new games going forward will have the capability.
