Gearbox Software released a new trailer for Borderlands 2 this morning as well as giving us a release date for when it drops.

Players will get to return to Pandora on September 18.

The trailer also shows us which characters we will get to control this time around.  We already knew about Salvador, the Gunzerker, but we now get to see in action Maya; a Siren, Axton; which appears to be a part of the Soldier class and finally Zero; which seems to be some kind of assassin/ninja-style character.

"Borderlands 2 is a passion project, through and through," said Randy Pitchford, President of Gearbox Software. "The result is a sequel that has improved every successful aspect of Borderlands while innovating with an all-new experience."

Pre-ordering the game will also grant you access to the Borderlands 2 Premiere Club.  Players will get a Golden Key than unlocks a rare item in the Golden Sanctuary Loot Chest , a Vault Relic that boosts a player's gear-hunting fortune  and the Gearbox Gunpack.

Be sure to check out the awesome techno-filled trailer.
