Pack your Skag repellant, remember to stock up on extra ammo and save some space for more guns in your inventory, because it is time for a return trip to Pandora.

Gearbox Software announced earlier this week that Borderlands 2 is in development. The sequel will feature new characters, new skills, new equipment, new enemies and another plethora of new weapons to collect.

Borderlands 2 will be on display at this month's Gamescom 2011 from August 17 - 21. It will also be shown at PAX Prime from August 26 - 28.

The game is expected to come out during Take-Two's fiscal year 2013 which begins on April 1, 2012 on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
