Konami announced that GoPets: Vacation Island is now available in retail stores in North America. Developed for the Nintendo DS, this interactive title offers kids of all ages the ability to connect with friends and showcase their very own customizable GoPets online.

GoPets: Vacation Island is a virtual pet game with a social networking twist, allowing players to create pets that can travel the world, visit friends, and have a party for up to 8 characters, all at the same time. Players have the opportunity to customize and dress up their dog, cat or pony with various accessories, including dresses and hats. Taking advantage of the Nintendo DS hardware, players can also compete in mini-games and download special items via DS Download Stations. As an added social bonus, players can also design items to send to other friends online and earn special shells to buy additional items for items for their very own world-traveling pet.
